I've recently turned on AAD authentication and I get an error telling me that my return url is incorrect. I've followed the instructions and add "/aad" onto the end of the root url but I cannot login. It may be because there were no users configured when I turned on AAD and now I'm locked out. I've tried going back to using basic authentication using seq.exe, but as I didn't have any users setup at all, I'm unable to do so as each time I try to a command like seq auth --basic -u=admin -p=admin it tells me that a user with that username was not found. Help! How do I recover my seqlog install?

Hi. I've added an enrichment property to my logs called 'runSession'. It is the ticks of the current time when my app starts. The idea was that it would be applied to all my logs so that I could quickly everything from the 'last run' (this is for dev time). I can read it in Seq with this query. select max(runSession) from stream I was hoping to create a signal that would run this query, get the result and then filter on that - thereby allowing a quick way to filter to logs from the last session. Is this possible? Thanks :-)

Hi! I log the duration of different things to SEQ. And now I'm trying to create a dashboard that will show how many logs there are in different duration ranges. For example, I'd like to have a plot for the number of logs with duration 0-5seconds, one plot for logs with 5-10seconds, one for 10-30seconds, etc. Is this possible? I'm trying something like this, but I cant get it to work select COUNT(*) as NumberOfInserts, SUM(duration > 5000) as slow, SUM(duration > 10000) as slower from stream where EventId.Id = 99 group by time(1h) limit 10000 Would it be possible?

Hi I would love to be able to expose some Seq dashboards to people that is not users in Seq. To somehow be able to select a dashboard, or individual widgets from the dashboard to be made public. I would also like some way of creating mincharts or banners that could be embedded in other pages. E.g. i would like to write a query (connections per minute), and see the resulting number in a banner or small image in our TFS home page. This would be a bit like badges in sonarqube: https://docs.gitlab.com/ee/user/project/img/project_overview_badges.png

Hi, We are looking at your software to integrate into our own programs to log errors and produce a dashboard of queue lengths etc. We have a present 15 Programs we would like to monitor. We are interested in the queue length of each program (sql query will get this information) and if it goes over a certain number an email alert is sent to a central email address, we also want to have the 15 programs listed on one dashboard with the queue length in real or near real time, detailing the program name queue length and last time checked and if possible a visual traffic light Green ok Amber getting close Red over queue threshold this dashboard would be shown on a 65 inch screen. is this possible with your software ? (more a dashboard question)

We are running Seq in a hosted environment where SSL is terminated at the network gateway and all traffic that are coming in to Seq is on http. The problem we are experiencing is that when you log with Azure AD it goes to http instead of https. How can we fix this? When we installed seq it was installed in http mode since ssl is terminated on the gateway.

Currently, Seq has Self Signed Certificate binded but I want to change it to CA-Signed Certificate. For that, I uploaded wildcard Certificate in Certificate Store on Server where Seq is installed and then executed following commands seq bind-ssl --thumbprint="THUMBPRINT OF CA-SIGNED CERT" seq config -k api.listenUris -v https://hostname (hostname= seq.test.domain.com) seq restart then I removed the self-signed certificate from the store. Seq updates the seq.json file to new api.listenUris above from http://localhost:5341. But it doesn't work. i.e the new hostname but I get an error saying "This site can’t be reached". Is there something I am missing please let me know or is there any other way to enable SSL for seq.

Hi DataLust Team and contributors! We have a Seq server that prior to upgrading to 4.2, we used to provide analytical client usage data for our organization. Reports were updated and cached so that the entire time span was never requeried. In 4.2, we are seeing 30 day time span queried, which for 8GB of RAM on our Seq server, is not ever completing before the timeout expires. This has effectively disallowed us from using Seq for reporting and we have been using manual database queries instead. Is there any intuition into this situation you can provide for our organization?

I'm looking into the Sql query syntax for generating time series reports via Sql Queries over the Web Interface. If data is store as a string (i.e. a collation of named values via a Dictionary), is there a way to plot those values in Timeseries? I tried a few variations using the query (select @Timestamp, Telemetry.ValueName from stream where Telemetry.ValueName is not null): "ValueName": "0" => This did not plot "ValueName": 0 => This plotted as expected. Is there a way to tell Seq to convert a string value to numeric for reporting purposes?
